PHILADELPHIA, PA - March 14, 2007 – Entrepreneur Partners, a Philadelphia-based private equity firm, announced today that its Principals have acquired American Filing Technologies, Inc. Headquartered in St. Louis, Amerifile is a direct marketer of specialized office products that help the health care community create, store, maintain and retrieve medical records. The acquisition was made through a newly formed holding company that will serve as the platform for additional acquisitions of direct marketing companies selling related products. Debt financing for the transaction was provided by CapitalSource. “Amerifile and its catalog have earned a loyal following by delivering quality products, specialized expertise and great customer service. We believe the company will continue to grow as more patients see more doctors more often than ever. We also perceive significant opportunities to build on its success by employing customer-driven marketing activities and expanding its product offering,” said Salem D. The principals of Entrepreneur Partners are Salem Shuchman and Bruce Newman. Shuchman was most recently a senior partner at Apax Partners, a global private equity firm. Newman was most recently an Operating Partner at Graham Partners and prior to that, the CEO of The Franklin Mint.
